So I just updated to Windows 10 and was really annoyed with the blur transparency that windows 10 offers. There is no customization sadly, but there is a way to get it to be 100% transparent. I am working on getting the taskbar to be 100% transparent as well. **Please follow these steps:**1.) Click on your Start Button2.) Type "Regedit" and hit Enter3.) Find this path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\Personalize4.) Double click on "Enable Transparency" 5.) Change the value to 0 (zero)6.) Confirm You might need to restart your PC after you confirm the setting, but for me it worked immediately. I now enjoy this very nice transparent start menu.
Someone should sticky this or something
Check out this keyboard shortcut guide by Gizmodo to see how you can:
If you want or don't want the taskview, touch keyboard or Cortana/search icons on your taskbar, you can toggle them on off by right-clicking on the taskbar and selecting your preferred state.
You can opt in or out of transparency by going to Settings > Personalization > Colors (it's at the bottom). This is also where to go if you wanna opt in for your taskbar and action center to be colored.
